It’s a tall order to design the imagery for such an legendary story as King Lear, especially as the passion project of iconic actor Al Pacino. As a Shakespeare lover myself, I loved the challenge of blending iconic imagery with the fever dream re-imagining that will set this film apart.

Playing with director Bernard Rose’s rich, kaleidoscopic vision was a true treat. The collage composition of this deck reflects the film’s approach as a time-warping menagerie of Greco-Roman orgiastic party and epic tragedy.
